ENTRANCE EXAM FOR FREE PRE-EXAMINATION TRAINING FOR UPSC/KPSC Exams

Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Karnataka, announces dates for the entrance test for the Pre-Examination training for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Examinations.

Entrance Exam Date: Sunday, 22 August 2010

Reporting Time: 10:30 AM

Exam Timings : 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Applications received till the last date have been scrutinised and Hall tickets have been despatched BY SPEED POST to eligible candidates.
   
   
2. Who can take up the Entrance Exam ?
   
   a. Candidates who have received the Hall Ticket sent by Directorate of Minorities.
   b. Candidates who have not received the Hall Ticket  but their name appears in the “LIST OF ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES FOR ENTRANCE EXAM”

3. Documents to Carry for the Exam.
   
   a. Two Color Passport Size Photographs
   b. Original Valid Photo ID Proof like PAN Card, Election Card, Driving License, Passport, ID Card, etc..
   c. Black or Blue Ball Point Pen
   
   
4. Those who have not applied and are interested, can give their contact information to the location co-ordinator. BUT THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WRITE THE EXAM.
   
   
5. SPOT REGISTRATION IS NOT ALLOWED.

Who can apply ?

Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing Class XI / XII (PUC), Vocational Courses in I.T.I/I.T.C., JOC, Diploma (Technical & Paramedical), D.Ed, D.Pharma, GNM, Graduation (B.A, B.Com,B.Sc, B.B.M, B.C.A, BSW, B.Ed, B.P.Ed, B.LibSc, BTA, etc.), Post Gradutaion ( M.A., M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed, M.PEd, MTA, PG Diploma, etc..), M.Phil, & Ph.D for Post-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

Conditions

(a) To be eligible, students should have scored not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
(b) The annual income of the student's parents'/guardians' from all sourses should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.
Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit.
(c) The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2009-10 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2010-11, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.
(d) A xerox copy of the reciept for having paid the College fee should be enclosed along with the application.
(e) Applications received after last date will not be considered.
(f) Incomplete application & incomplete documents will not be considered.

PRE-MATRIC SCHOLARSHIPS 2010-11
(FRESH & RENEWAL)

Who can apply ?

Applications are invited from the students belonging to the minority communities pursuing education from class I to X in Government/Recognized Private Schools/Institutions for Pre-Matric Scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

Conditions

1. To be eligible, Student should have scored not less than 50% of marks in previous final examination. In case of Class-I students, 50% marks requirement will not apply, only the income criteria will be applicable.

2. The annual income of the student's parents/ guardian from all sourses should not exceed Rs. 1 Lakh (One Lakh). Enclose attested copy of Income Certificate issued by Tahsildar or Original Income Affidavit.

3. The students who have been sanctioned scholarship for 2009-10 are eligible to apply for renewal for 2010-11, on scoring 50% and above marks in the previous examination.

4. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

5. Incomplete Application and Incomplete documents will not be considered.

How to apply ?

1. Log on to the website www.gokdom.com or www.gokdom.kar.nic.in and download application form.

2. Fill up the application form & Submit the same to the concerned school Principal/Head Master
on or before 15-07-2010.

3. The School Principals/Head Masters should collect the application forms from the candidates,
prepare a list of candidates in a prescribed format provided by the department,
Submit the application forms along with the list of students to their concerned BEOs
on or before - 22/07/2010

Who can apply ?

Students belonging to the minority communities pursuing Engineering & Technology courses (B.E,
B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, MCA), Medicine & Paramedical (MBBS, BUMS, BAMS, BHMS, MD, BPT, MPT, BOT, MOT, B.Sc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing, BDS, MDS), Fashion Technology (B.FTech, M.FTech), Management (MBA, PGDM, PGCM, Exec-PGDM), Pharmacy (B.Pharma, M.Pharma), Architecture & Design (B.Arch, ID, BCT, PL, PGD), Hotel Management (BHM & CT), Applied Arts & Craft (APD, FA,FAD), Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc & A.H, PG), Chartered Accountancy (CA), Institute of Cost and Work Accountancy (ICWA), Company Secretary (CS) and Law (LLB, LLM) for Merit-cum-Means scholarship to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

Conditions

1. Students who have scored not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination.
2. The annual income of the students’ parents / guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakh.

CHEQUES DESPATCHED

The Scholarship Cheques of all the student beneficiaries of the state who have been sanctioned Pre-Matric Scholarship for the year 2009-10 is dispatched to all the B.E.Os of the Taluk, through D.D.P.Is of the Educational District Concerned for distribution.

Students/Parents can contact the B.EOs/H.M of their respective taluks /schools and get their cheques. If the students/parents face any difficulties in getting the cheques, please call 080-22863618
