Candidates selected for UPSC Coaching Sponsorship

The following are the 25 candidates selected for coaching for exams conducted by UPSC under the Pre-Examination training scheme for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Examinations for 2011-12. These candidates will be sponsored by the Government of Karnataka for coaching for the UPSC examination in 2012. They are requested to contact the Directorate of Minorities.

Candidates selected for KPSC Coaching Sponsorship

The following are the 53 candidates selected for coaching for exams conducted by KPSC under the Pre-Examination training scheme for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Examinations for 2011-12. If interested, these candidates will be sponsored for coaching subsequent to issue of the next KPSC notification for selection and will not need to undergo another selection process for the same. They are requested to contact the Directorate of Minorities.

Individual Interview Call letters have been dispatched by SPEED POST to all candidates in the above list. In case of not receiving the Interview Call letter, candidates are informed to report with the documents mentioned below in the instructions.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. You are required to bring your valid original photo ID, Two Photographs & Screening test admission ticket.
   

2. You will be allowed to attend the interview only if you have this admission ticket.
   

3. Out station candidates will be reimbursed II class train/bus fare to and from their home town to Bangalore. Bring photocopy of the tickets to avail reimbursement.
   

4. Interviews for all candidates will be completed on 20-Sep itself. Priority in sequencing interviews will be first given to candidates travelling from farthest locations.
   

5. Please bring the following documents in original and one photocopy of each for verification.
   
   

   • Income certificate showing that the applicant’s Parent’s/Guardian’s annual income does not exceed Rs. 2 Lakh per annum.
   • Caste certificate
   • Degree Certificate and PUC/12th Standard Marks Card.
     

6. Candidates are required to be at the interview location by 9:30 a.m. for registration. Those coming late will not be permitted to attend the interview.

7. Lunch will be served for interview candidates at venue.

Scheme of Pre-Examination Coaching for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Examinations

NOTIFICATION - Dated 19 June 2011

The Department of Minority Welfare, Government of Karnataka intends to sponsor students of Minority Community for UPSC, Indian Civil Services Examinations 2011 and KPSC, Karnataka Administrative Service Exams.

• Applications are invited from candidates belonging to minority communities of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis & Jains who are eligible to appear for the above examinations of 2011-12 for Pre-Examination training for preliminary and Main examination.
  
  
• Selection of candidates will be by an objective type examination of 200 marks which will be held during August 2011.
  
  
• Selected candidates will be sponsored to institution of their choice at New Delhi/Hyderabad/Chennai/Bangalore etc for UPSC and at different places in Karnataka for KPSC.
  
  
• The coaching fee for all the subjects will be paid by the Government and also a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per candidate, per month for places outside Karnataka and Rs. 3000/- per month for places within Karnataka will be paid for one year to the selected candidates.

Conditions

• The applicant’s parents/guardian’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
